Chapter 35: Maybe

Maybe,
Someday, you’ll see me
My burning desire,
My outreached hands,
extending my pride and soul,
To make you see me,
Just once,
Just enough,
Just me,
With my naked truth,
Lying bare on the proving ground,
Tied up with the thoughts that you,
Would never even look,
Or heed my calls of love,
My aching pleads
My longing, empty chamber,
In the depth of my solitude fortress,
Keeps swallowing my pride and pain,
Brewing the screeching void as if it’s the food
that I will have to stomach forever.

Maybe, and maybe,
You’ll heard me,
You’ll turn your sight to me,
You’ll see something,
Maybe and maybe,
I won’t be there to see the truth
